I'm currently in Tuscany, Italy visiting family on the way between Schladming and Chamonix. The final round of the world cup series last weekend in Schladming, Austria was amazing. The series was all to play for in the Downhill but Greg Minnaar kept his cool and held onto his lead, Dan Atherton was killing it in the 4X and I was gutted that he didn't manage to take the final as well.

I'm travelling north through the Mont Blanc tunnel today to Chamonix where I'm doing a shoot for an online mag that should be pretty cool. Feel well hectic at the moment, travelling all over the place but riding in Cham should be good tomorrow. Here's some shots of the amazing scenery around where I've stayed for the last two days.

2008:A Trans-Atlantic Odyssey

Before I left for my recent trip to Canada, I loaded '2001:A Space Odyssey' onto my iPhone. Once I was in full flight I stuck my headphones on and watched it. I was trying to freak myslef out by the surreality of being the closest to space I've been while I watched a film all about. It was a mega experience, I loved it. In one bit of the film the hostess brings round some food and not long after, that happpened on my flight, it felt all interactive. I highly recommend the experience to everyone and if you've never watched the film, doing so for the first time on a flight could be mind blowing. Next time, 'Apocalypse Now' while on a boat in Cambodia.

Bromont, Montreal & Home

I'm finally home after a couple of weeks in East Coast Canada. I wrote the article for Dirt magazine on the way back it's right on deadline. I was writing in airports, airplanes, taxi's, trains and finally an Cafe. I was also doing the Live Commentary for MTBCut you can see the winning run below from Bromont. Apart from that I had a few days in Montreal which is a mega city. The streets were packed as they seem to have street festival on every day, walking back to my Hotel one night, I heard a band playing so I watched them for a bit. They sounded like a french Radiohead, Karkwa was they're name. Here's a few snaps I took on the trip including one of Donny playiong golf in front of Mt St Anne.

What a Beautiful Place!

Back from our trip to Sweden. The place is gorgeous, amazing lakes, cool mountains. so glad i got the opportunity to go there. The bad weather cleared for us and we had lovely hot sun for the rest of our time there. Flew back into heathrow on monday morning and spent the rest of the day & night in london. Felt strange going from being in almost total isolation at the top of a mountain one day to being in a packed tube train the next, life truly is surreal! Here's a pic of a lake we chilled next to for a while. There was a nice house just next to this spot, i could really see myself retiring to somewhere like this to fish and play golf, if the midgies weren't so bad!

Wet Sweden

In Are in Sweden at the moment on a trip to the Mayhem Festival. It's pissing it down today and i'm gutted about it. Riding looks like it should be really good when it dries out a bit. It's meant to get dry tomorrow then hot again for the end of the week. Loads of stuff going on. Sweden's fuckin cool too, real clean and loads of top stuff to check out. Stockholm airport were pretty fancy. Here's a  pic of a smart bar we went to last night. Some party going on tonight too!

Party to Plane

Some mates of mine who put on a Dub night in town had a big party at theirs just round the corner last night, mega sound system, camo netting over all the walls, top night! Despite the coppers trying to shut it down.

Now packing all my stuff to head to London tonight to get the plane to Sweden in the morning. I hate packing!! But Sweden should be worth it.

I've been snowboarding again, and this time it was something real special, we built a kicker had a bit of a jib around and the best bit. We were in WALES!! I can't believe it. It felt so mad putting all my snowboard kit in the van and setting off to go boarding from my own front door. Never done that before. As we were driving up into the mountains i was just dreaming, imagine if it was this good all the time. We had a van full of push bikes, snowboards and a crosser. What a Day!!

My first weblog entry...

So this is the start of it. I'm gonna be doing a diary to keep you's all in the know.

Bit weird that it's gonna start with something like it is. Instead of riding a bike lately I've been riding a snowboard. Me and Donny are on our way to Tignes for the Tignes Airwaves event. We're gonna be racing on the snow in a 4X format event. starting with 32 riders. Our race is on friday but we are going to get as much boarding in as possible first.

In Courchevel with the lads who run www.3vsa.com  at the moment. Having a class time. Looking forward to getting to Tignes too and meeting up with all the other brits, The Athertons, Nige Page and Peaty are all coming over. we're gonna steal the show from the fench. I'll keep ya posyed how it all pans out.
