Team Awesome Day

I had a really good weekend. On Saturday Team Awesome put on a day of bike events. Thanks Team Awesome! I did an alleycat, team beer sprints as a member of of Team Megatron, tried and failed at the trackstand staredown and won some 'vegan mystery meat'. .

I couldnt do the flaming skid skittles as my rear tyre was so thin that my inner tube was visible. Ted won it on his BMX doing foot jam skids. Helen took the trackstand staredown title.

 

Then I fell on my face on the road which was not awesome! We were on our way to a party and a certain young man grabbed the back of my skirt and sling shotted me up the road, madison style. Only he caught my wheel and next thing I knew I was grinding my face into the road. So I have a black eye, swollen chin, hip and elbow, grazed knees, ankles and back. And whiplash. My mum is gonna freak when she sees me - she gets really worried about me riding bikes anyway. I think I got off lightly actually. The pic doesnt do it justice! honest!

    

My friend Rob got off lightly too when a car cut him up. But his frame broke which is shit. Poor guy. Here he is on his beloved Lo Pro before it was decimated.
